1. Microsoft Office Powerpoint

PowerPoint is an Office suite tool for creating and playing presentations. In addition to the interactive interface and the diversity of layouts, the program offers the user a range of functions such as inserting YouTube videos, adding and editing photos, saving the PDF file and other utilities.

The main advantage of the app is the ease of tampering with the software, which has become a reference in the market. However, remember that offline PowerPoint is only available for payment of the Office package. The program is compatible with both Windows and MacOS computers, plus an app version for iOS and Android phones.

Impress is a tool of the LibreOffice program also aimed at creating slide shows. The biggest advantage of this program is that it is free and can be downloaded even on USB sticks, because it is very light.

In addition, the program also has interesting features similar to Microsoft, such as saving the PDF file and a variety of ready-made templates. The disadvantage is that the interface is not so interactive and can be a little uncomfortable at first, especially for those who are used to PowerPoint. The software is available for Windows, macOS X and Linux.

Presentations is a specialized FreeOffice slide show authoring and editing tool developed by SoftMaker Office. It is a feature that has free verse, with a layout and functionality very similar to PowerPoint. However, the available templates are limited compared to other programs, such as Sway and LibreOffice presentation tool.

It stands out as an option for Linux operating systems and is also available for both Windows and MacOS computers. It can also be accessed on Android smartphones, although it is a limited experience because the interface on this device is confusing.

Sway is a Microsoft application that has all the power of PowerPoint yet integrates new online technologies. Available on the Windows Store, the app features a responsive interface, giving the user a tool to share the presentation with other members, add online platform features (YouTube, Dropbox, Twitter) and integrate cloud files.

What's more, it is extremely easy to set up a presentation on Sway, it has a wide variety of layouts available for use on slides and allows the user to write a "plot", making the project's thinking easier. However, the program does not have great compatibility with operating systems. Can be used only on devices running Windows 10, Xbox One, or web version in any browser.

5. OpenOffice Presentations

Apache OpenOffice's Presentations program specializes in creating presentations in a variety of formats, including slides. The completely free and easy-to-use software offers advantages such as the ability to create animations, insert text, spreadsheets, tables, graphs and more. Although it offers most Office Package tools, the interface is not visually appealing and has limited layout options for slides, compounding the program's biggest drawback. Presentations is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux devices.
