The School of Worker website is an initiative of the Ministry of Labor and offers several free online classes in order to qualify Brazilian workers and, consequently, reduce unemployment. One of the lessons of the courses offered is “Introduction to Excel”, aimed at those who want to improve their basic knowledge about spreadsheets.
The course lasts 40 hours and can be taken in up to two months. To do so, simply register on the site, informing name, CPF and e-mail. You will receive a link in your inbox to begin classes. Upon completing the study, the student receives an online certificate.

Developed by Fundação Bradesco, the Virtual School offers a series of free online courses, including Excel. The lessons are available at basic, intermediate and advanced levels for the 2007, 2010 and 2013 versions of the program. Divided into different modules, the courses have different durations: Intermediate Excel 2010, for example, can be completed in 10 hours, while Advanced 2007 requires 31 hours of dedication.
Interested parties must register, which takes approximately five minutes. After this step, the login and password will be sent by email to the user. When performing the first access, it is important to disable the pop-up blocker to be able to view the platform. In addition, the developer recommends that, for a better experience, the browser used is Internet Explorer. Upon completion of the course, the user receives an online certificate, which can be printed.

The Meu Brasil Project is the result of the union of several companies and institutions. Its objective is to promote professional training using education and technology as the main tools. The initiative offers free online courses. Regarding Excel, there are the following options: “Excel Course”, ideal for those who want to learn how to use the tool; “SE Excel function”, for those who already have some knowledge and want to understand how to use the SE function; and “Important Excel Functions”, which brings together the main features of the program. The video classes last 28, 12 and 29 minutes, respectively.
To start taking the course of interest, it is necessary to make a brief registration on the website. At the end, the user performs a knowledge test and, if he / she obtains a grade equal to or higher than seven, the printing of the certificate of completion is released.

4. Microsoft video training
Microsoft, the company that develops Excel, offers free video courses for its users, with lessons on how to use the platform. There are lessons on “Workbooks and cells”, “Tables, graphs and analyzes and Formulas” and “Dynamic tables and collaboration”.
It is not necessary to make any kind of registration: just access the content of interest, watch the videos and read the tips written along the page. As the idea is to help the user in his performance in the program – and not exactly be a course -, there is no issue of any certificate.

Cursou is a platform for free online courses that offers the “Free online Excel Course – from Basic to Advanced”. In almost three hours of video lessons, the lessons promise to cover different topics about the program. The activity is divided into 10 classes, with a video for each. To use, it is not necessary to perform any type of registration, but the course also does not issue certificates of completion.
