As promised, Apple has just released the first beta versions of the operating systems just announced in the opening keynote of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018. They are: iOS 12 (build 16A5288q), macOS 10.14 Mojave (18A293u), watchOS 5 (16R5283q) and tvOS 12 (16J5283n).

In addition, Apple also released the first test version of the Xcode 10 (compilation 10L176w), Classroom 2.3 (1A4) and the Classroom 1.0 for Mac (1A5).

The beta versions of these systems should take a while to paint in the Apple Beta Software Program, since Apple still needs to polish the systems well so that they can be used by the general public willing to install test versions like this. Who knows when to release the second or third beta for developers.

Ns, no , we do not recommend that ordinary users (non-developers) install these first versions for the simple fact that they are still very unstable and may even break compatibility with several installed applications.

IOS 12, macOS 10.14 Mojave, watchOS 5 and tvOS 12 will be released in our spring (autumn in the northern hemisphere), so we still have a few good months of testing ahead of us until everything is really round and ready for the general public .

Apple temporarily shut down the first beta build of watchOS 5 while investigating a critical issue during the update for it.
