According to this Apple document (PDF), Apple TV + can get free year consumers who have recently purchased any new model of iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple tv or Mac as long as the device in question is capable of running the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS or macOS systems. Purchased devices of the day are eligible September 10, 2019 on.
To take advantage of the offer, you must activate it until three months after activating your device (ie the first time it was turned on). If your product was activated between September 10 and November 1, 2019 (better known as today), the three months will start to count only on the Apple TV + release day, meaning you have three months from today to get your free year.
It is worth noting that the free offer of the year cannot be combined Apple TV + is free of charge, and it's only a valid offer per family, so you can't get two free years in a row if you buy two iPhones on the same day, for example.
The free period can be split between up to six family members (including you) through Family Sharing. And apparently it is enough that one of the members is not necessarily the “organizer” of the family to be eligible for the free Apple TV + year to all gain the benefit.
How to activate free subscription to Apple TV +?
If your device is eligible, it is very easy to activate your offer: just open the Apple TV app on the device in question (any platform) and the benefit is highlighted on the screen. Follow the app's steps and enjoy!
Do not cancel your subscription during the free period!
It's good to note that if you don't cancel your subscription, Apple start automatically charge your Apple TV + to your credit card as soon as the one-year free period ends.
IPhone's management of this is done by opening the Settings, tapping their name at the top and then going to the "Subscriptions" area. There we had a surprise: besides the R $ 9.90 per month already announced for the Apple TV +, we found that Apple also offer an annual option of R $ 99,90 that is, what was good gets even more ~ 16% off!
It is therefore worth adding a reminder for 365 days ahead if you do not want to pay for the service after the free 12 month period. Important: If you cancel the free period at any time, lose your platform access immediately (not at the end of the free period, as usual).

Some people are unable to activate the one-year free period through the Apple TV app. If this is happening to you, it is quite simple to solve.
