The central component of the DJI RoboMaster EP modular robot has been listed in the FCC database with an image of the regulatory label and the location where it should be placed. The listing may be a possible indication that the DJI robot may be launched soon in the United States.
This is the company's second educational robot
The RoboMaster EP was launched in March of this year in China and unlike the RoboMaster S1, this new model is not yet officially available in the USA. The listing in the FCC database indicates that the situation may be about to change.
The component of SZ DJI TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD was listed in the FCC database as SS3-RMEPCORE RoboMaster EP Core. As you can see in the image below, the regulatory label shows that the RoboMaster EP has a battery of 2,400mAh and 10.8V. The battery capacity is the same as the RoboMaster S1.
The modular educational robot DJI RoboMaster EP has more than 50 sensors, offers support for multiple software platforms and has an open SDK (software development kit). It also offers support for sensors and third-party hardware, such as Arduino, Rasberry Pi and Micro: bit. This makes it possible to use the robot in more projects.
The robot has a compact structure, comes with a mechanical arm, supports FPV control (in first person) and users can also mount it as a sentinel robot, a robot for organizing items and more.
According to DJI, the robot can be programmed with languages like Scratch 3.0 and Python 3.6. At the time of its launch, Li Zhuoquan, product manager for RoboMaster EP, said that its biggest highlight is its open SDK, which supports more than 50 programmable sensor interfaces.
