According to the creators, there are more than 20 billion records from 80 countries and 100 million family trees. FamilySearch is a completely free genealogy service with more than 20 years of existence. Operated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it has resources ranging from document recognition for data extraction and online scanning to accessing copies of files from more than 100 countries.

Just type first and last name to get a list with records of people with data in common and add with a click. The site has a base of 10.1 billion historical records to cross data, guaranteeing good chances of being able to find useful information. Geneanet (https://pt.geneanet.org/) is a smaller platform, with approximately 1.25 million trees created and data from 6 billion people. Its operation is similar to that of the others, but there are some differentials, such as the search for surname origin and recurrence in different parts of the world, in addition to a section dedicated to the search for data from Portuguese ancestors.

Most functions are free, but it is possible to upgrade to a Premium plan for $ 12.5 (R $ 55) every three months to access a more advanced search tool.
