Facebook revealed the most used emojis on the social network and Messenger. The disclosure of the most popular faces on these platforms is the result of the celebration of the World Emoji Day (World Emoji Day), celebrated on July 17th. The list shows that the drawing most used by Brazilians is the face with heart eyes, which also appears first in Argentina and Colombia. In the United States, United Kingdom and Mexico, the image of the laughing little crying figure is on the rise.

The heart kisses emojis, the birthday cake, the heart and the shy smile close the ranking of the most used faces on the social network and in the messenger. Mark Zuckerberg's company also revealed that, daily, more than 700 million emojis are shared on Facebook posts and that, on Messenger, more than 900 million messages are exchanged only with pictures, without texts, every day. Interestingly, December 31 is the date on which the world shares the most faces through the messenger, probably with wishes for friends and family for the new year.

Japan, Holland, Norway and Taiwan go against the grain of the most used emojis. The most popular figure among users in these countries, the party confetti icon, does not appear in the Facebook face ranking. In addition, the heart emoji, a favorite design for South Koreans, was already shared twice more in 2018 than last year.

However, not all emojis seem to be well-liked by platform users. The least used figures are images of a person playing water polo, a man in a levitating suit, number one, hands throwing balls and a mouse.
