'Vai Brasil': Facebook releases special functions for the World Cup

Facebook started offering features that allow it to celebrate the World Cup on the platform. As has already happened on previous holidays, it will be possible to activate animations by typing certain phrases on the social network: “gool”, “Vai Brasil” and “Rumo ao Hexa” are some of them.

The function appears in both posts and comments, as long as the user taps or clicks on the highlighted section. Facebook also prepared thematic filters for the camera integrated in the cell phone, among other functions related to the tournament. See all the news.

In addition to the phrases related to the Brazilian team, commands such as «Vamos Argentina», «Vamos Costa Rica», «Vamos Peru», «Vamos México», «Vamos España» and «Força Portugal» also activate animations in the feed or in the comment box . According to Facebook, there are dedicated greetings for each of the 32 countries participating in the competition.

The Facebook Stories camera will offer a new augmented reality sticker with famous players to create creative videos. In addition, a new filter will allow adding face paint, wig and other thematic props of the World Cup when taking a selfie and showing the fans on the social network.

Messenger brings a new hidden game of embassies. To activate the game you need to send a message to a friend containing the flag of a national team and a soccer ball emoji.
