Facebook releases smart navigation bar in the app; know what changes | Social networks

Facebook decided to change the way of displaying the buttons of the mobile application: depending on the use of each person, the icons will change places. The figures, which are at the bottom of the screen on iPhones (iOS), and at the top on Android devices, will be replaced according to the frequency of use.

The changes were seen by the specialized website Cnet and should reach all users in the coming weeks. In response to dnetc, product manager Alexa Andrzejewski says we are customizing shortcuts for mobile devices so that everyone can more easily connect to the products they use most often, such as Profile, Marketplace, Groups and friend requests.

Currently, each country has its own set of buttons, ranging from four to six icons. As of the change, three symbols will remain fixed: the news feed, the notifications and the settings menu. icons that are not displayed can still be found in the menu. The application issues an alert when one of these new shortcuts is changed.

In this first moment, the icons will be automatically replaced by Facebook, but the social network wants to pass this configuration on to the user in the future.

Facebook has not revealed the timeline for all 2.2 billion users to have access to change. The global update is done gradually, explains the social network in a note.
