Facebook turns 14 this Sunday (4) and, to celebrate, it released special Friend Day functions. The platform’s anniversary has been called Friend’s Day since 2016. As in previous years, users can edit and share a video with photos of their friends on the social network. This time, Mark Zuckerberg’s website also released a series of awards, such as Best Friend ”,“ Best Listener ”and“ Know How to Make Me Laugh ”, which can be sent to honor loved ones. According to Facebook, more than 750 million new friendships are formed on the network every day.

On this «Friend’s Day on Facebook», people can see a different message when they open the website on the mobile application or on the PC. This is a personalized video for the date. The animation is done automatically, with photos and moments shared on the social network. To view and share your video, visit: www.facebook.com/friendsday.

In addition to your own video, you can create the Friends Awards, which are short videos with honors. There are ready-made templates, but you can also make new animated cards. Step 2: on the Friend’s Day homepage you will find your own video. To create a prize, click on the button located on the right until you get to the option «Create your prize for a friend»;

Step 3: after selecting the option «Create your prize for a friend», choose the contact you want to honor;

Step 4: When selecting the friend, you will find several options of honors. After choosing the one you want, click on «next». You can share the video on your friend’s timeline or send via Messenger.

Ready! Your friend will receive, via share notification or Messenger, the animated tribute you created.

New camera filters were created for Friend’s Day. The idea is for the user to take a selfie with his friend using one of the three options available on the social network’s camera.
