Facebook announced on Monday (11) a new page to gather memories and important moments published on the social network. Baptized Memories (Memories, in Portuguese), the resource will allow you to explore, in addition to the popular "On this day", used to see posts and events that happened on the date in previous years, also to check seasonal or monthly recapitulations and "Memories you may have missed ".
According to Facebook, the goal is for users to find all their memories more easily on the platform, since 90 million people daily access the "On this day" tool to remember the moments they shared. Furthermore, according to research, memories can have a positive impact on mood and well-being.

On the computer, Memories is on the left tab of the news feed. On the phone, the option can be accessed through the app in the See more guide. The new page can also be seen at https://www.facebook/memories. As with this day, the social network should send notifications about news on the page.
Within the Memories tab, it will be possible to explore all publications and events that occurred on the day in previous years. Friendships initiated on that date by the social network will also be available with special videos and collages so that the memory can be shared.
To explore an important moment in the past or the whole month, Facebook will also offer "Recapitulations of Memories" with messages and short videos. In addition, in case you forget to check the "This day", the tool will offer the "Memories you may have lost" with the memories gathered in the previous week.

To avoid negative memories, Facebook must keep the setting to "forget" moments and people. The function has been available since 2016 and allows you to select friends and dates so that they do not appear in the memories gathered by the ideal social network so you do not need to review publications with an ex-boyfriend or from any difficult stage.
