Facebook Messenger: Update Brings Free Links and Shortcuts

It was misleading to think that after buying WhatsApp, Facebook would start neglecting its other smartphone services. After the new test interface for the social networking app, now the Facebook Messenger receives an update. With her, you can now create individual or group dialogs, add shortcuts to your Android device's home screen and make free calls.

2. Free links

A recent update of the app also brought the function of free calls. But beware: Only in the WiFi connection there is a guarantee that they are really free. Via 3G or 4G, there may be costs. Check with your carrier.

To make a call with Facebook Messenger, click on one of your contacts (which should also have the latest version of the app) and then the phone symbol in the upper right corner of the screen. In our test the connection went smoothly.
