Expert does not recommend Pro Display XDR for professional color calibration

A few days after PCMag publish test results very favorable to the Pro XDR Display, painted on YouTube a video of another analysis of him this made by HDTVTest, a channel specialized in detailed evaluations of televisions and monitors.

Much of the evaluation was done by comparing the Pro Display XDR with the reference monitor Sony BVM-HX310 which, as Apple itself cited in its monitor's presentation keynote, can cost more than $ 40,000.

That is, if you think it is unfair / absurd / unnecessary to compare a monitor of US $ 5,000 with another that costs 8x more, know that who started with this just kidding it was Apple itself.

And of course, for the reviewer Vincent Teoh, the Pro Display XDR does not match the Sony monitor and cannot be recommended for professional color calibration especially as it demonstrates gloss leakage and certain artifacts in predominantly black images (something expected in an IPS display), as well as color distortion in certain angles.

In spite of this, Teoh praised the Pro Display XDR with respect to its design / finish, resolution, precision of factory colors and performance with clear images.

The Apple monitor is already sold in Brazil for R $ 45,000 (standard glass) or for R $ 54,000 (glass)nano-texture, which has an even lower reflectivity). The Pro Stand, in turn, costs R $ 8,700 for those who prefer to opt for the VESA mounting adapter (to be used in any VESA wall, table, base or arm support), for only R $ 1,700.
