Everything indicates that Watch OS 1.0.1 has a bug in heart rate monitoring

A month ago we informed you all about the functioning of the heart rate sensor of the Apple Watch. We say, for example, that throughout the day the clock measures heart rate every 10 minutes and stores all this information in the Health app (Health) of iOS.

The problem is that after installing the Watch OS 1.0.1, recently released by Apple and which brings several improvements, monitoring is no longer following this 10-minute interval, as reported by everythingiCafe. There is a topic in the Apple discussion forum just talking about this and, when testing here, I was able to prove the problem.

As we can see in the image above (left), there is no longer a specific interval for monitoring heart rate. We have intervals of 10, 20, 30, 50 minutes, etc. When analyzing data from days ago (right image), before the update, you can see that the monitoring was much more frequent / constant, respecting, in a way, the 10-minute intervals.

Of the two, one: either Apple has changed the way this monitoring is carried out and will still update the support article with the new information, or version 1.0.1 of the watch system is really in trouble. But as some users are claiming that automatic monitoring is not even being carried out (in their case, it is only possible to see the heartbeat through the “Summaries” feature), it is quite buggy.
