Everything indicates that, very soon, Apple will start making iPhones in India too

It has been a while since Apple CEO Tim Cook has been regularly in the ndia, on tours or meetings. The news points to a possible assembly unit for iPhones in the country, which has been driving international vehicles.

There is no secret regarding the company's investment in operations in the country, since Ma's statement is given Reuters last month it was that they would be working hard to have our operations in India and that the government would be contributing to an open dialogue. However, there is still no official statement from Apple. Even so, vehicles like the Times of india, BuzzFeed News and others have already announced that it will happen.

The new assembly unit is supposed to be in Karnataka, in Bengaluru. The local government would even have approved Apple's proposal to start manufacturing operations in the state. Karnataka's IT minister, Priyank Kharge, went so far as to say that this initiative will "promote a state-of-the-art ecosystem and a development of the supply chain in the state, which could lead India to compete globally".

It was also Kharge who published this Thursday (2/2) on Twitter, announcing Apple's operations on the spot. Intriguingly, after being quoted by BuzzFeed, the post was deleted and no statement was made after that.

Karnataka's IT minister, @PriyankKharge, deleted his tweet on Apple's BLR manufacturing plans (and did not respond to @BuzzFeedNews)

Despite this and a tweet from Chandra R. Srikanth on an official government statement on Apple's plans, the company itself chose not to state anything other than referring to the previous comment that said it would be working to make this happen.

Therefore, soon the official plans will have to become public definitively.
