At the Rock in Rio festival, part of the Comic Con Experience took a little bit of nerdy culture to the City of Rock
During September 15-17 and September 21-24, music was not the only thing that invaded the Rock In Rio 2017. THE Game XP, a space entirely dedicated to games, gained space in the new Rock City.
Performed by Comic Con Experience within the festival created by Roberto Medina, a Game XP it was very close to the main entrance of Rock In Rio. Right after seeing the ferris wheel, the huge entrance built to house the space of the games drew attention. With heavy metal in the last volume and a gigantic figure sprouting from the floor between the doors.
Whoever passed through the gates entered a small theme park divided into three main parts. The first had booths from Microsoft, Mario Bros., assassins Creed and angry Birds on the call Experience Bay. The other two parts of Game XP also occupied the two arenas near the area with the Expo Play Arena and the Hi Game Arena, with the largest video game screen in the world.
As the name implies, the wide open part of Game XP exposed several experiences for those who entered the space first gamer.
The lines, characteristic of all this edition of Rock in Rio, were formed at the entrance to the arenas and in front of the stands while people waited their turn to experience some of what was offered at Game XP, as well as the adventures on slides and tracks obstacles provided by the stands of Angry Birds, Mario Bros., Assassin’s Creed and a small NBA court.
THE Microsoft Game Truck came with the Xbox one inside for anyone who wanted to play all the latest releases on the platform, like Forza Motorsport 7. Experience Bay also featured the Motion Sphere, a sphere with chair and steering wheel to provide the great emotions of the best racing games.
In addition to the Experience Bay attractions, people lined up to take pictures with cosplayers who walked through Game XP and participated in the contest to choose the best cosplay.
Expo Play Arena
Built in the shape of a basket with the symbol of NBA, the entrance to Expo Play Arena served as a backdrop for many photos of people exploring the universe gamer inside Rock in Rio. Inside, the stadium that was built for the Olympic Games contained a gamezone with 40 PlayStation consoles
Game XP also had the Art Street, space dedicated to comic artists and artists, such as Artist’s Alley from Comic Con Experience. Names like Amaury Filho, Carlos Ruas, Julius Ckvalheiyro and Lipe Dias, who made special illustrations for the festival, were present. Check out the other artists here.
Inside the Expo Play Arena, stands Injustice it’s from Justice League allowed users to get to know and experience the games. A space with a small stage of Ubisoft for a competition of Just Dance, a pre-selection for the highest scoring dancers who would compete at Oi Game Arena.

Hi Game Arena
With the largest video game screen in the world, Hi Game Arena exhibited the best players from Counter Strike, FOOT and Clash Royale facing each other in epic disputes.
In the arena, Warner Bros was present with games based on films and a super tournament. Game Oi Arena was also the stage for the Cosplay Contest and the final Just Dance competition.
Rock in Rio 2017
In addition to Game XP, this year’s Rock in Rio had other news, such as being moved to the Olympic Park, having received new toys and having purchased an RFID bracelet for people who wanted to enter the festival.
The Rio festival brought to Brazil The Who (for the first time in the country), Red Hot Chili Peppers, Aerosmith, Maroon 5, Armas e Rosas, Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake.
