eSfere – OUYA's competitor, the Android console

The IndieGogo platform has just introduced an Android game console that could prove to be the perfect competitor for OUYA even without being launched. It's called eSfere.

Like OUYA, eSfere has controls, but with a detail that can please many. The control is quite curious because it allows to be modified in many ways, to the user's taste. It is a multitouch controller that also offers a number of silicone buttons which can be added if the user prefers the feel of a joystick.

The customer is given the ability to configure the eSfere controls to their liking. / (c) IndieGogo

The specifications of eSfere are very similar to those of OUYA. eSfere will have a Tegra 3 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI, two USB ports and Android 4.1. Its price will be about $ 125. Of course, eSfere will be compatible with the Google Play Store. Among its possible accessories, we find a 128 GB external disk that can be placed under the console.

For those who need more space, eSfere brings a 128 GB external memory underneath. / (c) IndieGogo

ESfere was also on Kickstarter. However, it was not as successful as OUYA – in 36 days it raised just $ 2,000 from the 390,000 needed for the project to move on. What do you think about eSfere? Do you think you are as successful as OUYA? Did you like the idea of control?
