English site compares batteries for several notebooks; MacBook Pro performs best

The English site Which? had already compared the batteries of the main tablets on the market – guess who was the champion! Now, with the arrival of Windows 8, they have made a new test (video playback and web browsing), this time comparing some of the most famous notebooks sold today, being 18 models with Windows 8, a MacBook Pro with 13 Retina display inches and a Samsung Series 3 Chromebook.

Test with notebook batteries

The result above shows that, even without the battery of our dreams, the MacBook Pro is the big winner in this dispute. In the tests of Which?, the Apple notebook lasted 388 minutes (or 6.4 hours) while the Acer Aspire M5-581T [lindo, esse nome!] lasted 358 minutes (or 5.9 hours). It is worth noting, however, that the MBP costs about Β£ 500 (~ R $ 1,455) more, which certainly weighs in this equation.

We know that, in general, iProducts yes, they are higher than those of the competition – forget the Brazilian astronomical prices, since our country unfortunately cannot be used as an example / basis for comparison. But in most cases the difference is visible, such as a stronger housing, longer battery life, backlit keyboards, use of SSDs instead of HDDs, among others.

In the case of iPhones, the only thing I still find problematic is the battery. Some competitors, such as the Motorola RAZR MAXX (which offers 18 hours of talk time and 7 days of standby) beat the beautiful iPhone in this regard. On the other hand, it is easy to understand this advantage: while the iPhone measures 123.8 Γ— 58.6 Γ— 7.6mm, the RAZR is 130.7 Γ— 68.9 Γ— 8.99mm. If the iPhone 5 were that size, it would certainly have a nice battery.
