Emoji 4.0 will be released by the end of the year, including new characters proposed by Apple

As we've already shown here and here, iOS 10 (and macOS Sierra) will arrive soon with several new and redesigned emojis including the water tank polemic. But the thing continues to evolve at a fast pace.

THE Emojipedia today detailed Consrcio Unicode's plans for the Emoji 4.0, which should be launched by the end of this year. There are several new gender options, professions and the long-awaited rainbow flag representative of the LGBT + movement.

Apple itself contributed (PDF) proposing sequences of emojis for artist, astronaut, firefighter, judge and pilot:

With the approval of the new version, it is up to each system developer to include the new emojis in their respective schedules. In the case of Apple, we can expect these emojis to arrive, perhaps iOS 10.1 or 10.2 depends on the pace of future updates from Ma.
