eight things you shouldn’t do in dating apps

Dilarang: delapan hal yang tidak boleh Anda lakukan dalam aplikasi kencan

Flirting apps have become increasingly popular. In addition to Tinder, which was launched in 2012 and has since been the most used flirting app, there are other alternatives, such as Grindr, Happn, Poppin and Bumble, which are sought after by people of different sexual orientations. However, security in these environments is still an important detail.

In addition to taking certain precautions regarding behavior, it is worth mentioning that it is necessary to pay attention to what is exposed in each profile. Security measures by applications, such as prohibitions of certain attitudes followed by ban, are applied to protect those who are registered. It may not seem like much, but if the user leaves his Tinder page full of very personal information, he may become a victim, for example, of scams or even unwanted exposure by others. Thinking about it, the dnetc created a list of some actions you should not take in dating apps.

Most dating apps don’t allow intimate photos. Some are more strict than others, as is the case with Grindr, which prohibits even photos with underwear or with a silhouette that leaves visible genitals behind the clothes. Tinder does not even allow images to be sent through the platform. Depending on the severity of the case – analyzed by the applications – the photo may be removed or, in some situations, the user may be banned from the network. Still, you need to pay attention: depending on how the photo was cut or the angle at which it was taken, some apps can understand how nudity and take action.

2. Disclose private information

It is very common to disclose some information in the profile of each user, from the most comprehensive, such as their city, to some more intimate, such as height and date of birth. However, the danger lies in the type of information that is exposed – it is not recommended to provide a full name and address, as well as e-mail or financial information. Showing potential flirtation what you like to do in your spare time or musical preferences is different – and less dangerous – than exposing data on a network of thousands of users.

3. Exchanging phone numbers very fast

It can be difficult to stipulate when it is the right time to contact the person with whom we have a conversation, but giving out the phone number too early can be dangerous. Without knowing the nature of others, it is possible that the user is exposed to possible scams, threats and puts their safety at risk.

Whether to look older or younger, entering a false age when registering, if the practice is discovered, is a reason for punishment in relationship apps. This is also valid for minors under 18 who create profiles with false information, which can result in the user being banned.

5. Use third party photos

This is another case of falsifying information. When using the image of other people, it is possible that the user even suffers from the copyright policy. Some apps only delete content if the person doesn’t have the rights. In more rigorous cases, the network may be banned. Certain applications also invite users to report who is using their image without authorization.

6. Inappropriate behavior

It is important to maintain respect within the application’s chat systems, which tend to be monitored. If there are offensive comments, threats or the spread of hate speech in general, the user may have his profile deleted. Harassing speeches also fall under the prohibitions and carry the same punishments.

As well as offenses, inciting violence or violent behavior is prohibited in flirting apps. In some cases, even, the spread of this conduct through emojis is a reason for punishment. Users who post gun and drug quotes may also suffer due consequences.

8. Request and / or expose other people’s personal information

Spreading an Internet conversation through prints of the application also leads to punishments, usually expelling the user in question. After all, it is a violation of the privacy of the other, if done without consent. Asking other people’s personal data, such as financial information, ID, CPF and address, is also prohibited within the application chats.
