Recently, Instagram Stories received a sticker that allows you to ask questions of friends and answer them in new stories. Questions can be answered with videos, photos or texts, making the game more interactive. The user knows who asked the question, but it is displayed anonymously to his followers when answered. Ask.fm achieved great popularity in 2013 for having mobile versions, in addition to the Web version, which facilitated interactivity among young people. The proposal was to ask questions and write answers to friends. The questions could be anonymous and the answers were shared on the user's social networks, giving greater visibility to the texts. Ask.fm is still available for PC access and for iPhone (iOS) and Android.

The motto of the application came from the Arabic word Sarahah, which means frankness. "The application arrived in Brazil in 2017 and caused controversy. It was not necessary to have an account at the service to ask anonymous questions to friends, which left room for any type of message, including cyberbullying and insults. After polemics involving this type of cyber crime, Sarahah has been removed from the App Store and Google Play, but the site is still available for use.

Much shared on Twitter, Curious Cat is also focused on questions and confessions online. Aware of the controversies surrounding this type of application, the service emerged in 2016 with proposals such as activating censored word filters and blocking anonymous questions. A feed organizes the questions in the profile in the form of a wall, making it easier for onlookers to see all their answers, in addition to providing a chat to chat with friends. Curious Cat also works on the web and smartphones.

In the Secret, the user did not answer questions, but anonymously published secrets about his life or anyone else's texts could receive comments. As there was no control over what was written, many cases of bullying and breach of privacy caused the application to be removed from the Brazilian App Store, and later to be discontinued.

Formspring.me was one of the first question and answer apps to become famous in Brazil. He became popular through social networks like Orkut and Fotolog. It was possible to connect friends from other social networks to ask questions, which could also be anonymous. The app's question and answer format was discontinued in 2013, but the company remained a social network under the name Spring.me, and was then incorporated into Twoo.

What sets F3 apart from other apps is the question and answer format, which is displayed in the same layout as Snapchat and Instagram Stories, by sliding your finger to the side. The posts, which may be anonymous or not, also disappear after 24 hours. To reply to friends, the user can use texts, take photos or record videos of up to 15 seconds. In May, the application remained among the 15 most downloaded applications from Brazilian stores.

There is no option at Tellonym: questions are anonymous and the user has no way of finding out who sent them. The posts are displayed in a feed similar to that of Instagram, with easy navigation. It is possible to synchronize the profile with social networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Snapchat. The program has versions for iOS and Android, in addition to a basic Web version.
