dxvk.1.5.1-arrives-with-improvements-in-gta5-and-more Last month (12/2019) we made a article talking about the improvements presented in version 1.5.0 of DXVK, and now it's time for version 1.5.1, which in addition to several bug fixes is also solving problems that were occurring during the execution of some specific games.

Starting with GTA V, a bug was fixed that caused the game's initial screens (rockstar logo, etc.) to run at full 8 ~ 10 FPS when running in full screen and with V-Sync enabled. . What did not happen when running the game in the configuration of borderless windows.

In Halo: Combat Evolved a bug has been fixed with rendering energy glasses and shields, and the blur effect is now working perfectly in Need For Speed: Carbon, which despite being an old game, a classic that is still loved by many gamers (including me = D).

The issue that was causing part of the inventory items to not be rendered in the Risen 2 game was also resolved, and the crash that occurred when switching between window / full screen mode in The Sims 4 is no longer an issue.

To end the issue of game-specific fixes, the crash was fixed when starting the Trackmania Forever game, and in Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, the problem that caused the game window to appear too small when running the game in fullscreen and in a non-native resolution.

Other implementations of version 1.5.1 are:

Performance improvements for games that make use of Direct X 9;

Fixed rendering issues that prevented shadows and images from appearing in multiple titles;

Resolved an issue that caused some games using DirectX 9 to crash at startup;

The number of threads used to compile pipelines has been modified, which should reduce the performance impact on 6 and 8 core processors, and also allow processors with more than 12 threads to use more cores to perform the tasks.

Some data from the DXVK_HUD (hardware performance monitor in games, in the form of an overlay) that were not appearing were returned to normal display.
