DTT: The third phase of changing the 5G frequency emitter network begins today

As of today, the third phase of the national change of the 5G frequency emitter network begins. The work is taking place today in Cheleiros, followed by tomorrow, March 6 in Vila Franca de Xira. Next week, March 9, it will start in Olivais, Vila Franca de Xira Montegordo, followed by the Sintra line in Alverca and different areas of Lisbon. This phase continues towards the north passing through Torres Vedras, Caldas da Rainha, Santarm, ending in Leiria. In the table below you can see the complete calendar of the works with dates and places.

ANACOM states that some of the initial zones of this third phase are being carried out simultaneously with some of the last district of the second phase. Thus, it is expected that in this third phase, with an end date scheduled for April 21, 79 DTT signal transmitters will be changed. The regulator leaves the alert that not all users will be covered in this process and whoever is affected will be left with the TV without image.

tek ANACOM framework

As in previous amendments, ANACOM warns users in Alentejo cities that the television signal will be lost (the screen will go black), simply by re-tuning the DTT decoder equipment or box. The service will continue to remain free, as until now, with the regulator's warning being reinforced that it is not necessary to change the television, antenna or decoder, nor to pay for the subscription of new services to the telecommunications operators.

AANACOM has the toll-free number 800 102 002 available to users, available every day between 9 am and 10 pm, for those who have doubts or need free technical support to tune in to the TV.

The regulator leaves an additional warning: ANACOM will only go to the home of those who call 800 102 002 and if, following that contact, the visit is scheduled. If the person has never called this number and someone comes knocking on the door saying that it is from ANACOM and that it is going to tune the equipment, be careful and do not open the door, because they will not be ANACOM technicians.
