Draw on your iPad in the most uncomplicated way possible with this new app from Iconfactory

Since it is possible to draw with a computer, it has been a difficult task beyond. Working with touch screens and layers certainly made things easier, but the way many apps are organized with so many options ends up taking the focus off the design. It was then that Iconfactory launched a new app to make life easier for planting “draftsmen”: the Linea.

This application has the simplest interface that you will see in any drawing app, as it really focuses on what is essential. Even with only four types of “brushes” and a maximum of five layers, Linea manages to do a great job, bringing together functionality and simplicity.

It was created with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil in mind, but it works well with any iPad running iOS 10 or higher and also with any stylus (or even using your finger). If you're using Pencil, you can use your fingers as an eraser.

On the main screen, you have all the projects (groups of drawings) arranged and, by touching one, you can see everything linked to it. On the canvas itself, you have on the left side the color palette that, sliding up and down, opens up more options.

On the right side, at the top, you see up to five layers; by touching and holding one, it is possible to organize it (reallocating it up or down very easily), in addition to making the layers stronger or weaker by a scroll bar on the side. Just below the layers, there are the grids and templates of grids where we find at app cone layouts for iPhone and iPad, as well as backgrounds.

It is still possible to make movements with two fingers (pinch-to-zoom) to zoom in or out on the drawing or set it aside. Doing so, an option appears at the top right to center the image again; in the left corner it is possible to touch an arrow signaling down in order to disappear with the tools, focusing entirely on the drawing.

When finishing the drawing, there are several export options. You can choose transparent or non-transparent PNG, JPEG or even PSD with differentiation of layers; in addition, it is possible to choose whether to have a grid / background or not, or to select only a part of the drawing to export.

Linea is available on the App Store for $ 10.
