Download: Gmail gets new Inbox interface and features

Gmail is Google's default email client, and comes pre-installed on Android smartphones. The practical app is known for its integration with other cloud services as well as other OS functions. A new look inspired by Material design is coming to new users.

No dark theme and whiter interface than ever. This basically sums up the new Gmail interface for Android, which now follows the same Material Design style as the web version. The email client also brings news that came from Inbox, a service that Google launched a few years ago and that will be discontinued by the company in March.

Confidential e-mail mode, ability to view attachments without opening messages (quick view of photos or PDF, no need to open or scroll the conversation), new reminder patterns and a new search system at the top of the home screen. among the best news. The new Gmail is providing a web-like alert system, where the user is notified of strange attachment behavior, spam and other suspicious account activity.

You can also choose the display density mode of conversations on the start screen, from standard (wider and more previewed) to comfortable and compact, the latter being better suited for smaller screens.

Version 9.1.13.23 can be downloaded and installed manually from the APK Mirror website. To get the new look, though, I need the Gmail app updated to the latest version. The news is being released gradually from today. Gmail can be downloaded directly from the Play Store:
