A year after presenting the new design during the F8 conference, users can now change the look of Facebook from the browser version to the computer desktop. Users have been gradually receiving the new design since January, in versions of light and black screens (dark mode). If you already have the new version available in your account, you can easily change, with just one click, the option Switch to the new Facebook, in the menu on the top right bar, where you log off the session. Here you can also turn on dark mode.
The design of the social network is now simpler, in shades of white and gray, releasing the characteristic blue colors to outline the options and the tab where you are. The website now offers three main areas: the news feed in the center, on the left side the shortcuts for groups, pages, Marketplace and direct information center about COVID-19. On the right side you can find the notifications and the usual contacts, for instant messaging.
At the top of the page there are also quick shortcuts to the Marketplace, Pages, Groups and Watch, where you can watch videos and live streams.
Users are free to switch between the new version and the Facebook classic in the respective option, so that it is more comfortable to adapt to their navigation. Any option that has left the site or disappeared, you can always find it in the previous version, or even if you don't like the new visual proposal of the social network.
Facebook still considers this new version to be a beta, and some of the features can be changed, depending on user feedback. Some of the goals of Mark Zuckerberg's company with the new design are to speed up the loading of pages, enable cleaner navigation and make it easier for users to find things through larger icons and texts.
