Ronin-S was presented by DJI during the CES 2018, being its first product for photo stabilization on DSLR and also mirrorless cameras. The stabilizer has two frame sizes to suit any type of camera, and operates through a three axis technology to ensure stability in both video and photos.

Powerful motors support the most popular combinations of lenses and cameras, including models such as Panasonic GH, Canon 5D and Sony Alpha. Even larger zoom lenses work thanks to algorithms that adapt to the various equipment configurations used.

Dedicated control knobs for the camera and servo arm allow you to switch between camera settings SmoothTrack, record and stop the camera, and the high-precision joystick changes the position of the camera to help frame your image. A new Sport mode allows fast movement with fast and accurate tracking of subjects at speed.

Complex camera movements can be set with the Ronin-S stabilizer

There are also intelligent shooting modes to automatically generate complex camera movements. Some of these movements are: Panorama, Hyperlapse, Track and CamAnchor, which allow you to designate specific camera positions in a scene and vary among them on demand.
