DJI launches new drones for agriculture and disaster relief

The electronics manufacturer DJI announced new tools and technologies during the fair DJI AirWorks, including drones for agriculture and disaster relief. The idea is to work in partnership with companies and governments to get these organizations to implement drones in their daily operations.

Both new accessories support Matrice 200 Series V1 and V2 versions

At the conference's initial presentation, DJI executives announced the new drones P4 Multispectral and Agras T16. The first of these is the first in the world a fully embedded multispectral imaging system. It is designed for use on farms, allowing for better land and environmental management.

Meanwhile, the second of them will become DJI's main aircraft for spraying on agriculture, facilitating the application of liquids such as fertilizers and pesticides in open fields orchards.

Another highlight of the Chinese manufacturer's presentation was the creation of the program DJI Disaster Relief, which aims to equip rescuers with DJI drones for quicker calls on rescue missions, especially during fires, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and earthquakes.

As the site points out Drone DJDuring the DJI AirWorks fair, customers and partners of the company were there to report how they were using the firm's drones. Among these companies were Corteva Agriscience, DroneDeploy, FLIR Systems, the Los Angeles Fire Department, Marathon Petroleum and Microsoft, among others.
