LG Display is now responsible for 70% of iPad panels, while Samsung Electronics, Sharp and Chimei Innolux (CMI) have seen their numbers drop, according to industry sources.
Samsung was originally responsible for a large portion of the iPad's panels, and was manufacturing more than a million in July. However, as of August, the number has dropped to around 700,000, and could decrease further, the source added.
Sharp's numbers were also good, going from 900 thousand (in July) to 400 thousand (August), according to the DigiTimes. (iDownloadBlog)
