Ever needed to search for a specific message in a long SMS list on your iPhone? Or did you search for a word in an email and didn’t know how to do it easily on your iPod touch? Perhaps not everyone knows, but many native iOS apps have a hidden search field, which can be easily accessible.
Mail, Contacts, Notes, Messages, are some examples of apps that have the hidden field. To access it, just search at the beginning of the list, dragging the screen downwards.
When you type the word you want, the list automatically updates in real time. In IMAP email accounts, you can still search the server to see if what you are looking for is there.
Many other apps in the App Store also use the same feature. If you are looking for a search field, always remember to try this tip.
