[Dica] Use the Shifts app to have full control over your work shifts

Whoever works every day at the same times is easy to know what they will probably be doing at 2pm on Tuesday 3 weeks from now. But for those who work in shifts, it is not that simple. If you like to put everything on the calendar, you will realize that it takes a lot of work to do manually and it is not always possible to insert recurrences correctly.

A new application called Shifts has arrived to solve exactly this problem and greatly simplifies the planning of your shifts. The developers, in fact very friendly because I talked to them before reviewing the app, are the same as a game that is very successful in the App Store, Alto’s Adventures, and they even stopped the development of this game in order to create Shifts at the request of friends. But let’s get down to business.

The home screen is like a normal calendar, however, exploring the options, you can quickly see the difference. To start using it, you must first set up your shifts by tapping the clock icon at the bottom left.

Enter a name and choose the type of shift, be it day, night, vacation, travel or other parameters – there are 10 icons to differentiate them, in addition to being able to select a color. It also allows you to inform how much you receive per hour, making it easy to calculate money at the end of the month or period.

With the shifts configured, tap the “+” button at the bottom center, select the desired shift and then tap the days on which the shift will apply. Note that it is possible to configure up to the entire shift year. Another nice feature is Rotation, where you select a period in days and apply as many shifts as you want. Then, just choose the starting period and all your shifts will be automatically organized within that given time interval.

Although the calendar view is very useful, it also has a more detailed list in chronological order.

And that’s not all. Shifts provides options for sharing your schedule with friends and family, saving a photo from the calendar. Then you can post to Facebook, send by email or put on Dropbox, among other options.

So, if you are a nurse, security, maritime professional or any other category that works with shifts, be sure to use this great application.
