Remember when the Motorola V3 was a status signal, and typing hundreds of text messages on that strange keyboard seemed like magic? With the arrival of the iPhone, QWERTY keyboards became standard, and no one is chasing MN and O on the same key anymore.
But, if you like nostalgia, or if you never had that experience and want to see what it was like to type in the early days of mobile technology, a really cool app has just been launched on the App Store.
It is the Type Nine (or T9), an alternative keyboard for iOS 8, which brings the classic interface of numbers from 1 to 9 + 0, and the letters embedded in each key.
Although not very useful, since the traditional iOS keyboard is much more practical (not to mention Swiftkey, Swype and many others), the idea is interesting and the app fun.
And it is still possible to find a very remote utility: let’s say that your grandfather or grandmother refused, all these years, to use a smartphone, but the old Nokia broke and you give a nice iPhone as a gift, here comes that cry “how am I going to type in this crap full of letters? ” – calm down, there’s the app for everything;).
The Type Nine costs just $ 0.99, and is available on the App Store.
