Demand for new MacBooks Pro begins to hinder production of custom models

Considering that many struggled to buy a 13-inch MacBook Pro right after its launch, it was already predicted that anyone who spent a few minutes placing a custom order for one of Apple's new laptops would end up suffering even more from it. Now theAppleInsider informs that several users who have placed special orders for the 15-inch model are being notified of possible delays in their production and delivery.

In the standard configuration, the new 15 ″ MacBook Pro can take up to a week to be delivered to the United States, even through the Apple Online Store. But special orders that should have been delivered during this week and the beginning of the next are now being postponed en masse to the first week of May, due to an increase in demand for the machines with the new launches.

Apparently, what is delaying the personalized deliveries of 15 ″ MBPs are the customized options of screens (anti-reflective or high resolution) and also of processors, since many are looking for models with the Core i7 chip. If it was already difficult for Apple to support the huge demand for iPads, I wanted to know how it should be now: -S
