Dell challenges Mac mini with colorful Inspiron Zinos HD line

Dell today launched its Inspiron Zune Zino HD computer line, which comes to fight head on with the Mac mini. The look and feel are similar, as the PC can be used as a desktop or media center.

The Zino HD can be configured with up to 1TB of hard disk, 8GB of RAM, Combo Drive (or Blu-ray player), ATI Radeon HD 4330 graphic chipset with 512MB and TV tuner (with HDMI output). The machine that still has two eSATA inputs and four USB 2.0 ports can, of course, run Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit.

Contrary to what many might think, it does not have options for Intel Atom or NVIDIA Ion processors, but rather an AMD Athlon Neo X2 6850e dual-core 1.8GHz. Prices range from $ 230 to $ 800.
