Data traffic weighs 9.3% in Optimus’ service revenues for the 3rd quarter

Data revenues reached 9.3 percent of Optimus’ total service revenues in the third quarter of this year. Compared to the same period last year, this figure represents a 15 percent increase, a statement said.

According to the same document, Optimus obtained revenues of 98 million euros in the period between July and September, 3% more than in the same period last year and accumulated 2,117 million customers that guarantee an average monthly revenue (ARPU) of 26.1 euros, according to the same document. It is recalled that in the previous quarter the operator had 2,093 million customers with an ARPU of 24.5 euros.

In the quarter under review, Optimus, which has already achieved UMTS coverage of 30 percent of the territory, had a cash flow operating income of 150 million euros, representing a growth of 33 percent compared to the same period last year. With regard to SMS, the operator found an average of 27.1 monthly messages per user, an increase of 1.3 percent.
