The National Data Protection Commission recently launched a new electronic platform, through which requests for authorization of personal data processing are made.
Application forms for the installation of video surveillance systems and data processing are now to be filled out and submitted, exclusively, electronically.
In addition to making the submission process easier, the new platform also brings advantages in the area of authorizations, which are now issued within a maximum period of 30 days.
CNPD stresses that these changes are accompanied by a review of the amounts of notification fees and means of payment.
«Electronic notification represents a new and important step for CNPD, with a view to streamlining procedures and improving response capacity», says the agency.
