Guilherme Rambo is back distilling interesting information about the iOS 13, future version of Apple's mobile operating system to be featured at WWDC19.
It's worth noting that the Brazilian developer has already released precious information about the upcoming iOS, such as that it comes with Dark Mode and improvements in Mail, a new app that combines the features of Search My iPhone and Search My Friends, news for Siri and for augmented reality, among many other things.
How about seeing some of this news? Because Rambo managed to get his hands on some screenshots of the new system and shared them with the world!
Dark mode
Below we see the Dark mode which can be activated by the Settings or the Control Center. On the home screen, the only noticeable change is the Dock, which adopts a slightly darker background. Rambo reasonably thinks that Apple should include some wallpapers that work better in Dark Mode, adding value to the new feature.
The Music app, on the other hand, shows a really black background, perfect for OLED screen devices (iPhone X, XS and XS Max) and can even help a bit in the battery consumption, as these pixels are literally off.
By capturing a screen, instead of showing a gray background with the proper marking tools at the bottom, we have a more realistic representation of these tools. Also according to Rambo, the same interface has also been redesigned on the iPad, which uses a rounded tray at the bottom of the screen to show these tools, and can even be dragged and positioned freely across the screen.
Sticky notes
Here we see the app Sticky notes redesigned (look like it also gets to macOS 10.15).
On the iPad, the new app will have a large sidebar with separations for “Today”, “Scheduled”, “Flagged” and “Everyone”; we will also have a search box and a collection of reminders lists from a user. The app uses new San Francisco Rounded font, introduced in iOS 12.2 (more precisely, in Wallet).
App Search
Rambo also showed the icon of the new app called Search (Find My), the fruit of Search My iPhone and Search My Friends.
The developer said the app was significantly improved on the iPad and brings all the features of both apps. In it we have a large map that fills the entire screen of the device, with a small window in the corner listing your family and friends; In another tab we have the devices themselves. When Dark Mode is on, the map looks exactly like what we see in macOS Mojave with Dark Mode on.
