Actress Daisy Ridley (Rey in Star Wars) was tipped to be the next Lara Croft, in place of actress Angelina Jolie, in a reboot of Tomb Raider.
The young British actress Daisy Ridley, who recently left anonymity when playing Rey in the movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, was tipped to play Lara Croft in the next film in the franchise. Not much is known about the new Tomb Raider, specific points of the story are being kept secret, however it is known that it will be a reinitialization of the series, possibly bringing an initial adventure by the thickest-archeologist in history.
The new feature is written by Evan Daugherty who wrote films like Divergent and Ninja Turtles and as director Roar Uthaug. It is too early to say that Daisy will be the next Croft, as the actress follows a tight schedule and is filming Star Wars: Episode VIII, in addition there have been no official negotiations yet.
The film series had actress Angelina Jolie playing this who is one of the strongest female characters in the world of video games.
Tomb Raider returned to the top after the game series was restarted with the award-winning Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of The Tomb Raider (2015).
