For those who use Lutris frequently, they should already be used to the right side column of the application showing the logo in the background. But did you know that it is possible to customize this background for any image of your preference? Today I will teach you how.
Browsing the Lutris website, I saw that on the page About the column on the right had a background image that changed according to the game, so I asked the Lutris support discord if there was any way to customize it.
I was informed that there is currently a manual, but very simple way to change this, and I will teach you now:
First, you will need an image in size 400 × 1080 and in jpg format for the games you want to change. There is one Google Drive folder with images of some games in the exact format, but if you want to play a game that is not in this folder, you will have to create the image manually.
The file name of the image must be exactly the game’s slug. To find this slug, just select the game, click on the “Configure” button and the slug will be displayed in the “Identifier” option:

Right after, just insert the images in the following folder:
~/.local/share/lutris/coverart
Ready! The image will be displayed in the side column according to the game. Pretty cool, right?
