Facebook users can finally count on the new emoji from version 5.0. The update is available for the desktop version of the social network and is being introduced gradually to all accounts since June. The new wave of characters includes new faces, food and animals, in addition to an unusual novelty: the symbol of a woman wearing executive clothes and levitating. The new design is exclusive to the platform, which means that it cannot be found, at the moment, anywhere else. You can use the emojipedia code to «copy and paste».

The emoji is a variation of another similar symbol: a levitating executive, which was introduced in version 1.0, in 2014. Until now, he was one of the few not to have a gender variant (that is, it only exists in the female version), along with the “pregnant woman” and the “breastfeeding woman”.
If you want to use it on other platforms, such as WhatsApp and Instagram, the custom character will be displayed as the male variant followed by the symbol ♀. This is because the emoji is not part of the official update package from Unicode, the consortium that guarantees a standard for the feature that makes it possible to use them on different platforms. Sought, Facebook was unable to explain the case.

The update of Emoji 5.0 on the social network introduced a total of 69 new images and, at the moment, is only available for the desktop version of Facebook. Among the new symbols are foods like broccoli, sandwich and meat, as well as fantastic beings – mermaids, wizards and fairies (all with gender variants) – flags and animals, such as the Hedgehog (hedgehog). So far the social network supports 2,715 symbols.

Messenger has emojis with different pattern
Mobile platforms, on the other hand, use the same standard as the one installed in the device’s operating system. Messenger uses a set of images different from those applied to the desktop version, which has not been updated since 2016.
Last Monday, July 17th, the date on which Emoji Day is celebrated, Mark Zuckerberg’s social network messaging app won 16 fun stikers. The novelty, however, is justified by the release of the film «The Emoji», scheduled for release on August 31.
