Just six months after its launch, Cuil is preparing to say goodbye to the search engine market, some international media write based on sources. If in the beginning it was well received by the public, over the months it fell into oblivion and at the end of last year it had almost no users.
At the time it was introduced, Cuil promised to have the best and fastest search techniques, at least that’s how the engineers who designed it – former members of Google – described it.
According to TechCrunch, the search engine failed in the method of presenting results, presented a weak index of contents and turned out to be yet another product with a market entry strategy that was too high for the capabilities it offered.
As such, and given the platform’s decline, one of Cuil’s founders has already resigned, abandoning the $ 33 million project.
