A company in the Critical Software group is on the list of 70 companies selected for the European Information and Communication Technologies Award.
Critical Links de Coimbra is the only local representative in this annual initiative of the European Commission that aims to distinguish the best companies in the industry in this segment.
Before a winner is known, which will happen during CeBIT, the list of finalists will be reduced to 20 companies that will remain in the race for the 700,000 euro recognition award for innovative products launched on the market.
Available in 33 countries, the award received for this year’s edition 450 applications from 30 different countries in the various areas covered: computer, media and communications industries.
The choice of winners is the responsibility of the European Commission, which will be advised by a jury responsible for the nomination of a short list of 20 participants.
Each of them will receive a prize of 5,000 euros.
The three winners will also receive 200 thousand euros each.
The delivery of prizes is scheduled for March 16 and will be attended by the European Commissioner for the Information Society area, Viviane Reding.
The finalists will be announced on February 19th.
