A protocol is signed tomorrow that aims to improve the offer of mobile telephone service on trains that carry out the Alfa Pendular service of Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses.

The offer will be available in 60 coaches and will arise from a collaboration between CP, EP and the three operators of mobile telephone service operating in the Portuguese market.

The agreement also results from the constitution of a working group that integrated the operators, Anacom, CP, REFERTELECOM and the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications.

The protocol has a duration of ten years and will be signed tomorrow, in Santa Apolónia by Minister Mário Lino, by the Assistant Secretary of State for Public Works and Communications, Paulo Campos, and the Secretary of State for Transport, Ana Paula Vitorino.

It is recalled that three years ago an agreement promoted by the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications managed to boost access to the mobile network in the Metropolitano de Lisboa, which was blocked by a strategy dispute between the railroad operator and the mobile operators.
