Hey, you, who like the products of Apple and always follow her news here at : could you design the company logo without looking at it?
For us, who are constantly in contact with Ma’s products, it may not be such a difficult task; however, however famous a brand may be, people’s memory does not always allow them to draw something as simple as an bad bite.

In order to test people’s memory, a new survey by Signs brought together 150 Americans and asked them to design ten famous logos as accurately as they could.
Among brands like Starbucks, Domino?s, Adidas and Burger King, there was our Ma. In the image below, you can see the interestingly funny result going from the least close to the original (in the upper left) to the closest (in the lower right).
Incredibly, only 20% of all the designs (that is, one in five) managed to get closer than today the Apple logo, with the correct side of the bite, the floating leaf and the correct shape / proportion in general. It is good to remember here that we are not talking exactly about the ?quality? of the design, but about what was possible to remember in relation to the logo.
The funny thing about this is that, even greater than the percentage of accuracy, there was the number of drawings that contained a stem in the apple (31%). Many (25%) forgot to draw the leaf, others (22%) drew the bite on the wrong side and a good part (16%) did not even bite. In addition, 6% painted it red and 72% remembered to make it black or gray.
What if the logo was exactly how people remembered it? Well, let’s see how they would look on our iPhones:
The research was super fun and the website even made animated GIFs with the logos being used ?in real life?; check them all out on this page.
