Corr Apple fixes Boot Camp related bugs on MacBooks Air released mid-year

New 11 and 13 inch MacBooks Air front

After the SMC updates released a few days ago, Apple has now released the MacBook Air EFI Firmware Update 2.7 for models released in the middle of this year. Weighing 4.8MB, the update that requires OS X 10.8.5 fixes an issue that could cause a black screen when installing Windows 7/8 using the Boot Camp Assistant if both an external optical drive and a USB flash drive were connected to the laptop. It also certifies that the system will boot from OS X after installing the Microsoft operating system. (Apple)
