Although Apple reported a 10.2% drop in its revenue from the sale of iPads during the first quarter of 2020, the tablet apps market it’s warmer than ever.
A new survey released by Sensor Tower revealed that iPad app downloads rose again in the period for the first time since 2013.
Check out the graph:
Were 1.1 billion apps downloaded in the period, 40% (!) more than in the first quarter of 2019.
And that was not all.
Consumers spent $ 2.1 billion in iPad apps from January to March, 16% more than a year ago and a historical record for the segment.
Amazing: 76% of that total, about US $ 1.6 billion, was in games.
Not bad, huh Apple.
