Conn Foxconn may open five more plants in Brazil

The Taiwanese Foxconn, which manufactures (iPads), should set up five more factories in Brazil, in addition to the one already announced () for the production of liquid crystal screens.

() The (parts) produced here will also help in the assembly of Apple products, according to the secretary (of Planning and Development of the State of So Paulo, Julio Semeghini).

For now, the company begins to import kits for assembling iPads and iPhone in Brazil.

Earlier today we commented on the opening of 400 vacancies for the Foxconn factory in Jundia (SP).

These others are expected to generate at least 5,000 new jobs in the country, with investments of “hundreds of thousands of dollars”.
