Confirmed: WWDC 2016 will take place between June 13th and 17th

Earlier today we informed you that Siri found his tongue out and talked about the possible dates of the Worldwide Developers Conference 2016. Now, through a press release, Apple has officially confirmed the date of the event: June 13th to 17th.

WWDC 2016

The 27 WWDC takes place at Moscone West, however, the opening keynote for the event will be held this time at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (same location as the iPhone 6s and iPad Pro launch).

With four innovative operating systems and an intuitive programming language operating 1 billion devices worldwide, there has never been a more exciting time to bring together our developer community. WWDC 2016 will be a milestone for developers working with Swift code developing applications and products for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS. We look forward to seeing everyone gathered in San Francisco or through the live broadcast.

Phil Schiller, Apple's vice president of worldwide marketing.

Interested in attending the conference in person, they must register on this page by Friday (4/22, at 2 pm due to the Brasilia schedule). After the end of the registration, Apple will randomly draw and communicate the selected ones starting on Monday (4/25, at 9 pm at the time of Braslia), who will have to confirm their participation by paying US $ 1,599. More than 350 student spaces will be distributed and, for the first time, the company will help up to 125 students with travel expenses.

WWDC 2016 will be attended by more than 1,000 Apple engineers, who will be doing more than 150 hands-on labs and events to provide developers with code assistance, insight on development optimization techniques and guidance on how they can do more with iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS technologies in their applications.

Developers will also have access to the latest innovations, features and capabilities of operating systems, and best practices to improve application functionality, performance, quality and design. In addition, of course, everyone will have the opportunity to connect with thousands of developers from around the world in 2015, 80% of the developers participated for the first time; in total, more than 70 countries were represented.

There will also be a series of meetings focused on specific subjects and with guests / speakers / special activities, lunchtime sessions with influential and pioneering people from the world of technology, science and entertainment and, of course, the Apple Design Awards (an award that recognizes the apps that demonstrate excellence in technique, innovation and design).
