Confirmed: Apple will build its (potentially) most glorious store at the Carnegie Library in Washington, D.C.

This is a conversation that has been going on for some time, but now, finally, Apple has obtained the final permission and confirmed that building its second store in Washington, United States capital.

It could be a common news if it were not the simple place chosen by Ma to settle: the magnificent building of the Carnegie Library.

Just as a brief history, the Carnegie Library building was built, as its name already suggests, in order to house the first public library in Washington and it was so until the beginning of the 1970s, when the space began to become small for the amount of books housed by the institution, which ended up moving to another location. Since then, the building has been (sub-) used as the headquarters of the Historical Society of Washington, D.C. foundation, but not for long.

Apple's struggle to obtain permission to settle in the building has been going on since last year, but only now has Ma managed to close an agreement with all responsible bodies and confirm the construction of its newest flagship. The company's vice president of retail, Angela Ahrendts, celebrated the good news on Twitter and thanked the regulatory agency Events DC and Mayor Marion Bowser (yes, Bowser) for their help.

The news is particularly important because Apple currently has only one store in Washington – Apple Georgetown, whose extreme simplicity definitely does not match the importance of the American capital. By obtaining authorization to settle in one of the most recognized buildings in the city, Ma will certainly create a much larger presence in Trumplndia and, potentially, build one of its most beautiful stores (with its usual partner, the architect Norman Foster, also responsible for Apple Park).

There is still no information about when Ma starts building the building, details about the architecture of the future store or a possible opening date, however, we will be connected in everything.
