We already commented on two concepts of iMacsThis year, they envisioned a new design for Ma's "all-in-one" desktop, something that consumers expect a lot, since the machine has basically had the same look for eight years.
In one of them, the duo Viktor Kdr and Patrik Borgatai was inspired by the design of the Pro XDR Displaybut they were not the only ones. Recently, the YouTube channel the Hacker 34 (known for sharing iOS 14 concepts) has published a new video with what he expects from the Apple desktop update.
Before we get into the details, let's check out the design changes: the new imaginary iMac would have a screen with bezels smaller (borders) and a support very similar to the Pro Display XDR as well as the design of the back (also present in the new Mac Pro) for better ventilation of the machine.
Specifically, the new 23 or 28 inch Retina 5K display would have a brightness of up to 600 nits (Pro Display XDR goes up to 1,600 nits). The concept also proposes some internal changes, including updating the chipset common 10th Generation Intel Core i9 and a plate Radeon Pro Vega 56.
Another good news would also be the implantation of Face ID. For this, the iMacs camera would have a 7MP sensor, compatible with Full HD (1080p) video recording and support for the infamous Animojis.
If you think you ended up with the action, you better sit down. The designer went further and also imagined the "Magic Trackpad 3", further elevating the peripheral's resources. In this sense, the new version of Ma's trackpad would gain support for Apple Pencil and would also offer wireless charging (why do you cry, AirPower?).
Personally, I think support for Apple Pencil would be most welcome; j wireless charging maybe not so much. I say this for two reasons: first, the trackpad would become practically useless for the iMac when using it as a charger, and second, it would probably have to be wired to incorporate this function, not to mention how much it could get hot but all of that is open for debate, of course.
What novelty most caught your attention in this concept? And more: is it approved or not?
